Xiaomi new flagship MI 6 Launched with 6 GB RAM, Dual Camera and a Ceramic version



Finally, the wait is over and the Xiaomi’s new flagship has been officially launched today in China. There has been a lot if leaks and rumors about this new phone around the internet for couple of months now. The Xiaomi MI 6 has been launched at an event in Beijing today.

At an event in Beijing Xiaomi stressed on the processor that they are using on this phone. Xiaomi MI 6 flagship has the latest snapdragon 835 processor, the powerful Qualcomm chip which is available only in Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+.  The processor is clocked at 2.45 GHz and is an Octa Core processor. It is a 10-nm processor which is faster, more power efficient, smaller and more increase in network speed.

MI 6 has a clean and simple look with 5.15’’ screen size. The design has a four-sided 3D curved glass and more rounded corners. The phone is of stainless steel with a high gloss outline. The MI 6 is glossy metal enclosure and is resistant towards wear and tear. The MI 6 has a uniform alignment for the antenna lines, The Antenna line is aligned to display.

MI6 has a seamless dual camera at the back and the fingerprint sensor at the front. Both the cameras in the back has 12 MP resolution. One camera is for wide angle and the other is a telephoto lens. The MI 6 camera can deliver 2X optical zoom and can click a photo on a portrait mode.

The Xiaomi MI 6 is coupled with 64 GB and 128 GB storage option with 6 GB of RAM. The fingerprint sensor is under the glass in front. The MI 6 comes with a stereo speaker and the company has followed the steps of Apple and has ditched the headphone jack. The MI 6 comes with the type C port in the bottom for charging and headphones.

Xiaomi MI 6 has a battery capacity of 3350 mAh. Since it has a 835 processor, the phone is more efficient so the flagship is expected to have a longer battery life.

Xiaomi has launched 3 variants of MI 6, one being more premium. 
  • MI 6 with 64 GB storage and 6 GB of RAM at a price of CNY 2,499 (Roughly Rs. 25,000).
  • MI 6 with 128 GB Storage and 6 GB of RAM at a price of CNY 2,899 (Roughly Rs. 29,000).
  • MI 6 premium variant with four surface ceramic design and 18K gold plating on the camera ring, 128 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM at CNY 2,999 (Roughly Rs. 30,000).
The Xiaomi MI6 will come in default Blue color, and the ceramic variant. There will also be a limited Silver variant as per company.

As per Xiaomi, the new MI6 will be on sale from 10 AM CST (7: 30 AM IST) on April 28 in China.

Xiaomi MI 6 with dual camera setup??

Xiaomi is about to launch its flagship phone Xiaomi Mi 6 on 19th April 2017. There has been a lot of leaks in the internet before its official launch on 19th.  Here we lost down some of the important specification that might come with Xiaomi’s next flagship. MI 6 is expected to have a Snsnapdragon 855 processor which will be a big upgrade from the last flagship MI 5. MI 6 is going to run at Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
